To this end, we seek to analyze a series of changes produced by the accounting application process in terms of recognition, measurement, trade discounts and to understand the importance of the inventory in the cash flow of an SME in Colombia, as the new international accounting frameworks have been gradually applied, which are the IFRS (international financial reporting standards), which seek to disclose financial information in a uniform manner throughout the world to facilitate its interpretation in a global manner.

El objetivo del presente artículo reflexivo es identificar el tratamiento contable y financiero que se realizan a los inventarios bajo NIIF en referencia a la sección 13 en las pequeñas y medianas empresas en Colombia, los cuales enmarcan una serie de pautas y métodos a seguir en la manera como presentamos la información en los estados financieros. Con este fin se busca analizar una serie de cambios que produjo el proceso de la aplicación contable en materia de reconocimiento, medición, descuentos comerciales y conocer la importancia que tiene el inventario en el flujo de efectivo de una pyme en Colombia, como se ha ido aplicando de manera gradual los nuevos marcos contables internacionales que son las NIIF (normas internacionales de información financiera), las cuales busca revelar la información financiera de manera uniforme en todo el mundo para facilitar su interpretación de manera global.
