For adequate habitability to develop, both needs must be in balance. According to the above, the opportunity arises to achieve a balance of these needs from elements such as furniture, which has characteristics of subjective needs, also taking into account objective needs. The proposed design is applied to the feeding area, which consists of the dining room and kitchen. A group of furniture is proposed that seeks to meet these needs by applying the knowledge of industrial design to provide successful alternatives.

La VIS es construida en respuesta al derecho que tienen las personas de su vivienda propia. Estas VIS cuentan con un espacio determinado de construcción que posee unas características, denominadas necesidades objetivas. Estas en su mayoría son respondidas, pero se deja a un lado los aspectos psicológicos de quien habita las VIS. Estos aspectos son llamadas necesidades subjetivas. Para que se pueda desarrollar una habitabilidad adecuada, ambas necesidades deben estar en equilibrio. Según lo anterior, surge la oportunidad de lograr un equilibrio de estas necesidades a partir de elementos como el mobiliario, que cuente con unas características de las necesidades subjetivas, teniendo en cuenta también las necesidades objetivas. El diseño propuesto está aplicado a la zona de alimentación, que consta del comedor y la cocina. Se plantea un grupo de mobiliario que busque cumplir con esas necesidades aplicando los conocimientos del diseño industrial para brindar alternativas acertadas.
