Sumario:The present study is based on the application of a mindfulness-based intervention to reduce stress levels among teachers at an educational institution in the municipality of Pivijay, Magdalena. The Teacher Stress Scale was used to assess stress levels, which includes several subscales such as anxiety, depression, maladaptive beliefs, pressures, lack of motivation, and poor coping. The sum of these factors results in a direct score, which, in turn, determines the level of stress. The objectives of the research were to identify teachers' stress levels, apply a mindfulnessbased intervention, and re-evaluate to compare the results of the experimental and control groups. The results are positive, as stress levels were reduced in the experimental group following the intervention. The following data supports this finding: in the pretest measurements, the experimental group had a mean of 164.00 and the control group 156.83; in the second evaluation, the experimental group had a mean of 142.47 and the control group 154.00. A statistically significant decrease was observed in the experimental group, with a T-student value of 0.00086, and Cohen's d confirming that the intervention had a large impact on the study population, showing a figure of 1.65.
