Este estudio analizó la amenaza de incendios de la cobertura vegetal de Melgar, Tolima, empleando Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) a escala 1:25000. Los objetivos se centraron en evaluar la frecuencia histórica de incendios, factores de ignición y la zonificación de áreas en condición de amenaza. Se realizó con base en la metodología del IDEAM (2011) incorporando factores como susceptibilidad de la vegetación, clima, topografía y accesibilidad.
