Description
Summary:International trade between Colombia and Mercosur is crucial for accessing new markets, diversifying exports, attracting foreign investment, and strengthening business competitiveness. Despite challenges such as Venezuela's suspension in 2016 and the health crisis of 2020, this relationship has promoted regional integration and sustainable development. However, Colombia faces a significant trade deficit, characterized by low competitiveness in exports and an increase in imports. To improve its trade balance, Colombia must adopt effective strategies that include innovation and the development of key sectors. Additionally, Bolivia's recent accession to Mercosur strengthens regional integration and expands trade opportunities for Colombia, highlighting the importance of enhancing cooperation with neighboring countries.
