Sumario: | This monograph analyzes the behavior of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Colombia
during the 2017-2023 period, evaluating its impact on strategic sectors and the countries leading
these investments. One of the specific objectives was to identify the annual trends in FDI. The
research was conducted through a quantitative and non-experimental approach, using data from
the Central Bank of Colombia to identify relevant patterns. The results show that the United
States, Spain, and Panama were the main investors, and although the COVID-19 pandemic
affected investment flows in 2020, a significant recovery was recorded in 2022. The contribution
of this study is valuable for the academic field, providing an empirical basis for future research
on Foreign Direct Investment. |
