| Sumario: | This thesis proposed a process improvement based on the Lean Manufacturing
methodology for the company Maderas La Ceiba, located in Duitama, Boyacá, dedicated to the
manufacture and marketing of tongue and groove joints, construction stretchers and, especially,
pallets, its main product. The ultimate goal was to increase efficiency and reduce waste. To this
end, various research instruments were applied that allowed a detailed characterization of the
processes, from the reception of the wood to the storage of the final product. |
