For this, we began with the elaboration of a bibliographic search of scientific literature on the subject, followed by an analysis of the information, all this work allowed us to evidence a negative impact in relation to the financial aspect of the families of the Chimila neighborhood of the city of Santa Marta, since these families have to invest a large sum of money every month, This is reflected in a precarious quality of life of the population. Likewise, it was possible to see a great social inequality, which requires actions to solve the problems of this community

Likewise, it was possible to see a great social inequality, which requires actions to solve the problems of this community Identificar el impacto financiero de las familias del Barrio Chimila, generado por la calidad del servicio de acueducto, ha sido el objetivo al que apuntó esta investigación monográfica, tema que resulta interesante debido a que es una problemática que viene sufriendo esta comunidad desde hace muchos años, bajo la mirada indiferente de los gobiernos de turno. Para esto se inició con la elaboración de un rastreo bibliográfico de literatura científica sobre el tema, seguido de un análisis de la información, todo este trabajo realizado permitió al finalizar evidenciar un impacto negativo en relación al aspecto financiero de las familias del Barrio Chimila de la ciudad de Santa marta, pues estas, deben invertir mensualmente una gran suma de dinero para la adquisición de agua potable, debido al pésimo servicio de acueducto en esta zona, esto se refleja en una precaria calidad de vida de la población, así mismo, se logro ver una gran desigualdad social, que requiere de acciones que permitan solucionar la problemática de esta comunidad.
