Sumario:Designers use form as a tool, a means of expression and key communication for its practice, even so, it is a concept that is studied and analyzed very little. Due to the importance of knowing more about the concept and understanding its breadth, it is proposed to generate a study that identifies the evolution of the form in the design industrial throughout the modern Latin American tradition , developing a study that descriptively allows the analysis of the form, understanding it as a figure or form composed of several figures that complete the shape of the object, taking as a case study for analysis, Latin American chairs that can show the multiple possibilities of form of an object in relation to the need they meet and power demonstrate how the shape of an industrial design product has behaved during a certain time.
