Sumario:Guiding the learning processes of young students in juvenile detention centers presents a formidable challenge for education in Colombia, particularly for educators. This doctoral thesis conducts a comprehensive analysis of the knowledge and skills possessed by teachers at the Nuevos Días, part of the Juan Bautista La Salle educational institution in Florencia, Caquetá. Utilizing a case study methodology, the research identifies the current competencies of these educators and subsequently develops an educational model that builds upon their strengths, aimed at enhancing their teaching knowledge and skills.
