Sumario:Abstract: This document presents a road safety audit (ASV) carried out on the road that connects Armenia (Quindío) and Pereira (Risaralda) in the section between km 24 +000 and km 27 + 000. The purpose is to identify and correct the critical points to improve road safety in this section. Cell phones were used for photographic recording, tools such as Excel to create the risk matrix, ArcGIS to create risk maps, and sign software to verify the coherence of the road design. During the audit, three critical points were identified that present a high number of accidents, one of the highest risk being km 24+300, where a death occurred in 2022. In addition, deficiencies were found in the road infrastructure of this area. section, such as inadequate containment barriers and deteriorated signage, a high non-compliance with speed limits was also recorded at speed controls, with 74% of vehicles circulating above the permitted limit. As a result of the audit, it is proposed to implement road education campaigns and increase speed controls, carry out preventive maintenance, and redesign the containment barriers, all of this to reduce the risk of road accidents in this section. Finally, the importance of immediate intervention at critical points along the road section is highlighted.
