| Sumario: | The purpose of this research is to describe the narratives of the mothers regarding the
experience of hospitalization of their baby, a study that was carried out at the Hospital of the
Victory from city Bogotá; For this, a qualitative investigation was carried out, with a
hermeneutical approach and narrative design, using as an instrument the application of a semistructured interview and subsequent analysis by categories; as outstanding findings, the aspects
that these mothers attribute to the hospitalization experience of their newborn are evidenced, this
subject to prematurity and the possible complications of their baby's health, aspects that they
describe as “difficult and painful”. On the other hand, given the situation they are going through,
for them the proper establishment and support of their relatives is very important, an aspect that
for these mothers is favorable for overcoming this situation. |
