El presente trabajo tiene como objeto dar cuenta de las narrativas y la transformación del espacio público, manifestado en la pintura mural en la ciudad colombiana de Sogamoso. Para ello nos hemos remitido, como fuente de análisis, a un planteamiento teórico e histórico previo, así como al registro fotográfico. Se obtienen así resultados inéditos en el estudio de la ciudad y su relación con la construcción de sus espacios públicos por parte de los colectivos artísticos. De otro lado se afirma lo artístico —aún muy poco reconocido— como una extensión de la realidad misma de la ciudad.
