Subsequently, the authors define the need to create one or more clusters to consolidate the proposal, and outline the directives to take into account to achieve it. Finally, it is concluded that the locality of Chapinero is endowed with great potential to become a creative and cultural district in Bogota, but it is up to both national and local government officials to make it true. |

El objetivo del artículo es postular la Localidad de Chapinero de Bogotá como distrito cultural y creativo de la ciudad. Como marco referencial se presentan cuatro formulaciones teóricas: las sociedades de la información, las sociedades del conocimiento, la economía creativa, y las ciudades creativas, y se valoran las implicaciones que cada una aporta a la propuesta. Se analiza el potencial de la Localidad de Chapinero como distrito cultural y creativo de Bogotá a partir de las actividades de carácter creativo y cognitivo que en ella se realizan, y de las industrias culturales y creativas que tienen sede en la Localidad. Finalmente se establece la necesidad de crear uno o más clusters que permitan consolidar la propuesta planteada, y se establecen los parámetros y lineamientos a tener en cuenta para hacerlo.
