Sumario:This doctoral research focused on determining the relationship between the production of children's visual narratives and the representations that boys and girls construct of their identity in school contexts. Using a qualitative approach based on a case study, supported by focus groups and classroom-based research-creation with the first-grade children and their families at the Instituto Pedagógico Arturo Ramírez Montufar (IPARM) of the National University of Colombia. The results revealed that visual narratives are fundamental tools that children used to actively express and shape their identity
