El plasma rico en plaquetas (PRP) es un concentrado plaquetario que se obtiene mediante una muestra sanguínea, siendo una opción de tratamiento prometedora frente a una variedad de patologías dermatológicas, por el papel que juega en la reparación de tejidos. En este artículo se pretende dar a conocer su aplicación en la terapia en dos aplicaciones clínicas: alopecia y acné. Aunque la literatura científica sobre este tema en particular no es tan amplia, existen algunos estudios que han demostrado la eficacia de esta opción terapéutica y a su vez resaltan los beneficios de implementar dicha terapia, destacando sus pocos e incluso inexistentes efectos secundarios, demostrando que el PRP puede llegar a ser una opción terapéutica en el tratamiento de afecciones dermatológicas.
