The Asian continent is noted as interested on this field, which publishes on its native languages La teoría económica del valor es un área en la que no existe consenso y no ha sido un tema predilecto de investigación en las revistas científicas líderes en ningún periodo de tiempo. Por eso, en este artículo se propone describir el estado actual de investigación en la teoría económica del valor a partir de una evaluación bibliométrica sobre artículos publicados en el 2019 y sus referencias bibliográficas, detectando tendencias en géneros documentales, periodos de tiempo de publicación, concentración geográfica, códigos JEL y palabras clave. Se concluye que la teoría del valor económica tiene una importancia relativamente baja, está escrita predominantemente en lengua inglesa y construida en Europa, con artículos científicos del siglo XXI como fuente predilecta. Con respecto a las referencias, se concentran en Europa y Estados Unidos, evidenciando múltiples corrientes de pensamiento alrededor de esta teoría. Se advierte sobre el papel del continente asiático como uno interesado en esta teoría, que publica en sus lenguas nativas.
