Este artículo plantea y explora una modalidad de unión entre teoría y práctica artística, con base en el concepto de la alotropía proporcionado por Gilles Deleuze a partir de la obra de Burroughs, gracias al cual las manifestaciones críticas y creativas en torno al arte desdibujan sus límites tradicionales y se fusionan en un cuerpo desligado de la idea de un “organismo” predeterminado para un fin específico, y que entraña en sí la potencialidad de múltiples contingencias y experimentaciones. En principio, el texto se refiere a un contexto histórico de secularización en el que la sociedad y el arte se ven obligados a reelaborar sus significados, y a partir de la pérdida de una base sólida de referencia para la creación artística se plantea la dinámica del cuerpo sin órganos de Artaud, potencializado conceptualmente por Deleuze, como el signo del arte en la época contemporánea.
