description	The Special Issue of the Papeles Journal, "Relevant Experiences in Education from a Latin American Perspective" is dedicated to education in Latin America, with special emphasis on learning strategies, the role of technology, inclusive education, social education, and human rights education. The works gathered in this issue have been written across different latitudes of the region and share a common interest in and commitment to education. Moreover, these works acknowledge that educational institutions have an unavoidable commitment to democracy and the construction of an engaged, critical, and socially responsible citizenry. The development of critical thinking, the promotion of social sensitivity, and empathy toward others are objectives of the entire educational system, as reflected in the concrete experiences described in the texts within this volume.

El Número Especial de la Revista Papeles “Experiencias Relevantes en Educación desde la Perspectiva Latinoamericana” está dedicado a la educación en Latinoamérica con especial énfasis en estrategias de aprendizaje, el rol de la tecnología, la educación inclusiva, la educación social y la educación en derechos humanos. Los trabajos reunidos en este número han sido escritos en distintas latitudes de la región, y comparten el interés y el compromiso por la educación. Asimismo, son trabajos que entienden que las instituciones educativas tienen un compromiso ineludible con la democracia, la construcción de una ciudadanía comprometida, crítica y socialmente responsable. La formación en pensamiento crítico, el fomento de una sensibilidad social, empatía hacia las y los otros es un objetivo de todo el sistema educativo, lo cual se ve reflejado en las experiencias concretas que son descriptas en los textos contenidos en este volumen. O Número Especial da Revista Papeles, "Experiências Relevantes em Educação numa Perspectiva Latino-Americana", dedica-se à educação na América Latina, com ênfase especial em estratégias de aprendizagem, o papel da tecnologia, educação inclusiva, educação social e educação em direitos humanos. Os trabalhos reunidos nesta edição foram escritos em diferentes latitudes da região e compartilham um interesse e compromisso comum com a educação. Além disso, estes trabalhos reconhecem que as instituições educacionais têm um compromisso inadiável com a democracia e a construção de uma cidadania participativa, crítica e socialmente responsável.
