El cooperativismo y las asociaciones en Colombia representan dos formas complementarias de organización en la economía solidaria, promoviendo la colaboración, la democracia participativa y el desarrollo comunitario sin ánimo de lucro, además de su impacto generando la pacificación de las comunidades más vulnerables, la inclusión general y que se reduzca la pobreza. Con las agrupaciones solidarias con un gran porcentaje de asociados en el año 2023, impacta al 38% de la población, promoviendo inclusión financiera y empleo formal, especialmente en áreas rurales. Además del auge de las asociaciones alrededor del país, con fines de carácter social, cultural o económico, estos modelos se relacionan con los ODS, (Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible). Este artículo analiza el impacto del cooperativismo y las asociaciones, su marco legal y propone políticas públicas para maximizar su potencial transformador, inspirándose en experiencias nacionales e internacionales.
