Her contact with the school of contemporary art thinkers from the October and Third Text magazine school positioned her as a significant bridge between the information that was being generated in the global north and the reflections that were made on this thought in Latin America. Every time he exhausted one song during his career he moved with the same enthusiasm to the next. Currently his work is focused on new eco-environmental knowledge. This conversation is a testament to his legacy in the field of art history and criticism, where he has given important weight to the concept of context without falling into the trap of defending the local. His contribution to the discipline to this day lies in a flexible, interdisciplinary, dialogic and contemporary vision of what it can be to talk, write and think about art. |

Anna Maria Guasch ha dedicado su vida a la crítica y la historia del arte. Catedrática emérita, desde su trabajo como profesora de historia del arte global y crítica de arte en la Universidad de Barcelona, ha construido una carrera en la que alterna la interacción con sus alumnos y con los artistas y curadores de arte. Este ir y venir entre la academia y el mundo del arte ha sido campo fértil para el desarrollode una práctica única de la historia del arte. Su curiosidad y compromiso con la indagación exhaustiva sobre los temas que trabaja la han llevado a desplazarse fuera de Europa. Su contacto con la escuela de pensadores del arte contemporáneo de la escuela de las revistas October y Third Text la posicionó como un significativo puente entre la información que se gestaba en el norte global y las reflexiones que sobre este pensamiento se hacían en Latinoamérica. Cada vez que agotó un tema durante su carrera se movió con el mismo entusiasmo al siguiente. Actualmente su trabajo está concentrado en los nuevos saberes ecoambientales. Esta conversación es testimonio de su legado en el campo de la historia y la crítica de arte, en donde ha dado un peso importante al concepto de contexto sin caer en la trampa de defender lo local. Su aporte a la disciplina hasta el día de hoy radica en una visión flexible, interdisciplinaria, dialógica y contemporánea de lo que puede ser hablar, escribir y pensar sobre el arte.
