La psicología de la salud es un campo aplicado de la psicología que, históricamente, se ha confundido con la psicología clínica, aunque no son lo mismo. Ambos comparten actividades como la promoción de la salud y la prevención de enfermedades, sus roles son distintos. La psicología de la salud incluye otras tareas que se diferencian significativamente de las funciones clínicas. Esta reflexión se centrará en esos roles específicos y en cómo pueden contribuir a un cambio social dentro de la psicología de la salud. A psicologia da saúde é uma área aplicada da psicologia que tem sido historicamente confundida com a psicologia clínica, embora não sejam a mesma coisa.
