The objective of the article is to present the process that was developed and later to present the implementation of a set of educational videos to accompany the Physical Education courses in a public institution located in a municipality in the northeast of Colombia. On the other hand, the implementation of pedagogical methodologies mediated by information and communication technologies has shown positive results to improve student motivation in various areas of knowledge. Methodology: Thus, this work presents the results of an experimental design, where a series of educational videos were used to improve motivation in the Physical Education class. Thirty-one students between the ages of 16 and 18 (M = 16,48, SD = 0.67) participated in the study; 16 students (7 men and 19 women) participated in the control group and 15 students (9 men and 19 women) participated in the experimental group. 6 women). Results and discussion: The results indicate that using the videos significantly improved the motivation of the students with whom they performed the respective exercises. Conclusions: These results are promising and represent an incentive to continue replicating this type of activities that enrich Physical Education classes. |

Introducción: Uno de los principales problemas que se afrontan en las clases de Educación Física es la baja motivación de los estudiantes para realizar los ejercicios indicados por el docente. El objetivo del artículo es presentar el proceso que se desarrolló y posteriormente presentar la implementación de un conjunto de videos educativos para acompañar los cursos de Educación Física en una institución pública ubicada en un municipio del nororiente de Colombia. Por otro lado, la implementación de metodologías pedagógicas mediadas por las tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación (TIC) ha demostrado resultados positivos para mejorar la motivación de los estudiantes en diversas áreas del conocimiento. Metodología: Así pues, este trabajo presenta los resultados de un diseño experimental, en que se utilizaron una serie de videos educativos para mejorar la motivación en la clase de Educación Física. En el estudio, participaron 31 estudiantes entre las edades de 16 y los 18 años (M = 16,48, DE = 0,67), en el grupo de control 16 estudiantes (7 hombres y 19 mujeres) y en el grupo experimental 15 estudiantes (9 hombres y 6 mujeres). Resultados y discusión: Los resultados indican que al usar los videos mejoró significativamente la motivación de los estudiantes con la que realizaron los respectivos ejercicios. Conclusiones: Estos resultados son prometedores y representan un aliciente para seguir replicando este tipo de actividades que enriquecen las clases de Educación Física.
