The partial results obtained through this, reveals that children are not using scientific skills due to the lack of their own activities to develop and strengthen the different scientific skills that are approached when they work on Natural Sciences in the school context. |

El trabajar y fortalecer las habilidades científicas desde los primeros grados de básica primaria, favorece a los estudiantes en la percepción y comprensión de su contexto y los prepara para ser agentes críticos frente a lo que ocurre a su alrededor. Es por lo anterior, que se lleva a cabo esta investigación, buscando fortalecer las habilidades científicas a partir de la elaboración y aplicación de una prueba diagnóstica que permita identificar el nivel en que se encuentran los estudiantes de segundo de primaria, grupo 201 de una institución oficial del sur de Bogotá, Colombia. La metodología trabajada se llevó a cabo en tres fases: la elaboración de la prueba diagnóstica, la validación del instrumento y la aplicación del mismo. El resultado parcial obtenido a través de ésta, revela que los niños no están empleando las habilidades científicas a causa de la falta de actividades propias para desarrollar y fortalecer las diferentes habilidades científicas que se abordan al momento de trabajar las Ciencias Naturales en el contexto escolar.
