The arrival of migrants has caused both good and bad comments by citizens and national and international entities, based on the Colombian economy and the uncertainty between a strong economic, or simply a severe decline.National and international entities such as the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), Migration Colombia, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Brokerage House, Federation for Higher Education and Development (Fedesarrollo), Banks and the Press, have expressed their opinion about the effects of the inmigration of Venezuelans on the Colombian economy, trying to answer the question: Will the phenomenon of migration generate growth in productivity, investment and labor coverage or will the unemployment rate rise, generating economic echaustation? The hesitation is based on State spending in attention to the migrant population, when it could invest in the growth of the national economy. |

La economía en Venezuela, aunque hace unas décadas fue una de las mejores en Latinoamérica ahora está en total desequilibrio, debido a la caída del precio del Bolívar en el mercado de divisas, junto con la falta de pago de la deuda externa de ese país. Eso y demás problemas internos, ha generado que muchos de sus ciudadanos emigren hacia Colombia. La llegada de ellos ha causado, buenos y malos comentarios de ciudadanos colombianos, entes nacionales e internacionales, respecto de la economía colombiana; y la incertidumbre entre un fuerte crecimiento económico, o simplemente un decaimiento severo.Entidades nacionales e internacionales como el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE), Migración Colombia, Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI), Casa de Bolsa, Federación para la Educación Superior y el Desarrollo (Fedesarrollo), Bancos y Prensa, han opinado acerca de los efectos de la inmigración de venezolanos en la economía colombiana, tratando de responder a la pregunta ¿el fenómeno de la migración generará un crecimiento en la productividad, inversión y cobertura laboral o subirá la tasa de desempleo generando un desgaste económico?, la vacilación se sustenta en el gasto del Estado en atención a la población migrante, cuando se podría invertir en el crecimiento e impulso de la economía nacional.
