La presente reseña crítica se basa en la reconstrucción sociocultural e histórica realizada por la docente e investigadora venezolana Goiz-Eder Calvo, que a través de la investigación en medicina y filosofía otorga una nueva perspectiva de género al mundo de las ciencias de la salud y el cuerpo femenino a lo largo de la historia. Pues si bien el estereotipo y consigo el rol social de la mujer cambia y se expone desde distintas formas de discriminación, el cuerpo sigue siendo la herramienta de la revolución femenina, un mecanismo adicional de oposición contra la anatomía como destino y la reproducción como función primordial. A presente resenha crítica se baseia na reconstrução sociocultural e histórica realizada pela docente e pesquisadora venezuelana Goiz-Eder Calvo, que através da pesquisa em medicina e filosofia dá uma nova perspectiva de gênero ao mundo das ciências da saúde e do corpo feminino ao longo da história. Pois se o estereótipo e consigo o papel social da mulher muda e se expõe de diferentes formas de discriminação, o corpo continua sendo a ferramenta da revolução feminina, um mecanismo adicional de oposição contra a anatomia como destino e a reprodução como função primordial.
