T El objetivo de este estudio fue describir las características psicológicas que están asociadas al rendimiento deportivo en jugadoras de fútbol 6 de la ciudad de Cali, en el cual participaron 23 jugadoras. Inicialmente a un deportista se le mide según sus destrezas físicas, tácticas y técnicas, pero ¿por qué no siempre tienen los mismos resultados durante una competencia?, ¿por qué un día se les ve más motivados que otros?, ¿por qué su desempeño hay disminuido o aumentado?; se ha identificado que no se tienen en cuenta las características psicológicas o los componentes mentales que se asocian al rendimiento. Si se presta atención, alrededor de un jugador, están los aficionados, la familia, el entrenador, periodistas y entre otros como el estrés, el estado de ánimo, la motivación y las emociones.
