technique the open interview was used. The results allowed the researchers to describe these military families as functional families; since due to the hard work militaries have to face and their constant in duty leaves from home, the responsibility regarding the authority, rules, standards and limits are carried out but their women; including taking care of themselves. |

El objetivo de esta investigación es describir las narrativas sobre comunicación, límites, roles y jerarquía en un grupo de madres parejas de militares durante su ausencia y permanencia en el hogar. Los fundamentos teóricos de esta investigación se basaron en el enfoque sistémico. En donde se realiza un análisis interpretativo de las narrativas de cada una de las entrevistas por medio de una matriz cualitativa, que permitió ordenar y clasificar la información, en donde se logró evidenciar categorías emergentes significativas dentro de la investigación. La metodología utilizada en este proyecto es de tipo cualitativa, las participantes fueron 4 mujeres parejas de Militares del Ejército Nacional de Colombia, las cuales cumplían con los criterios requeridos, como técnica de recolección de datos se utilizó la entrevista abierta. Los resultados permitieron describir que estas familias militares son familias funcionales, en donde debido al trabajo del militar y sus constantes periodos de lejanía y ausencias del hogar, descargan en la mujer toda responsabilidad en cuanto a la autoridad, reglas, normas y límites, incluyendo el cuidado de ellos mismos.
