This city due to its strategic location connects the eastern part with the center of the
country and other regions, due to different dynamics of the territory such as internal trade,
passage of products, reception of people coming from different areas of the country among
others, "the city generated an accelerated and discontinuous growth with various disjointed and
empty urban nodes, which represent 7.7% of the current mesh" (PMD, 2020-2023, p. 69)1.
According to DANE (2018)2, the quantitative deficit is 15.86% and the qualitative housing
deficit in the municipality is 63.72% concepts that will be expanded in the development of the
work.
A factor that influenced the growth of the municipality were the informal settlements that
according to their needs were expanding generating an increase in the demand for housing,
goods and services, it is easy to see in the urban fabric of Villavicencio the relationship of selfbuilt or informal housing with planned housing built according to current regulations showing a
heterogeneity in the typology, as a result can also be seen the morphological discontinuity of the
municipality, which will be discussed later.
Taking into account the above at a general level and the results of the analysis developed
in this work, we propose a design proposal focused on housing, which integrates social,
economic and cultural factors of the community, to provide a flexible design that adapts to the
needs of present and future users, which provides a quality of life, is articulated to the various
dynamics of the city and incorporates the cultural, social and economic heterogeneity observed
in the analysis.

Una de las metas que se han venido planteando por diversas administraciones políticas a nivel nacional es disminuir el déficit habitacional del país, para este trabajo se escogió la ciudad de Villavicencio la cual no es ajena al déficit habitacional del país. Esta ciudad por su ubicación estratégica conecta la parte oriental con el centro del país y demás regiones, por diferentes dinámicas del territorio como el comercio interno, paso de productos, recepción de personas provenientes de diversas zonas del país entre otros, “la ciudad generó un crecimiento acelerado y discontinuo con diversos nodos urbanos desarticulados y vacíos, los cuales representan un 7.7% de la malla actual” (PMD, 2020-2023, p. 69) 1 . Según el DANE (2018) 2 , el déficit cuantitativo es del 15,86% y el déficit cualitativo de vivienda en el municipio es de 63,72% conceptos que se ampliaran en el desarrollo del trabajo. Un factor que influyó en el crecimiento del municipio fueron las asentamientos informales que de acuerdo a sus necesidades se fueron expandiendo y generando un aumento en la demanda de vivienda, bienes y servicios, es de fácil evidenciar en la malla urbana de Villavicencio la relación de las viviendas autoconstruidas o informales con las viviendas planificadas construidas según la normatividad vigente mostrando una heterogeneidad en la tipología, como consecuencia también se puede evidenciar la discontinuidad morfológica del municipio, de los cuales se hablará más adelante. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior expuesto a nivel general y los resultados del análisis desarrollado en este trabajo, se plantea una propuesta de diseño enfocada a la vivienda, la cual integre factores sociales, económicos y culturales de la comunidad, para brindar un diseño flexible que se adapte a las necesidades de los usuarios presentes y futuros, el cual brinde una calidad de vida, se articule a las diversas dinámicas de la ciudad e incorpore la heterogeneidad cultural, social, económica que se observa en análisis realizado.
