This highlights that humans have gradually become aware of the importance of preserving and caring for other species. This awareness has also led to the formation of increasingly strong emotional bonds with other living beings, specifically with animals of certain species that have become pets. These pets are adopted by humans, who sometimes perceive them as part of their family.

A través del tiempo se han venido reconociendo nuevas garantías de protección a los seres vivos que cohabitan en el planeta tierra. Estas garantías de protección han sido otorgadas, bien sea para preservar especies, para regular las poblaciones o para asegurar una supervivencia digna. Con ello, se evidencia que el ser humano, poco a poco se ha concientizado sobre la importancia de la preservación y cuidado de otras especies, lo cual ha conllevado también, a que se creen lazos afectivos cada vez más fuertes con otros seres vivos, y más específicamente con los animales de algunas especies que se han convertido en animales de compañía o mascotas, las cuales son adoptadas por los seres humanos, quienes en ocasiones las perciben como parte de su familia.
