The shelling machine will reduce the time required for the shelling process, taking into account that currently this is done manually and/or also with shelling equipment lease, increasing production cost. It will have a shelling mechanism that removes or detaches the grains from the cob, which is powered by an electric or thermal motor. A mechanical power transmission system, a structure that supports the different components, a feeding hopper, a sieve that separates the grains from the cobs and the motor control elements.

El presente trabajo propone el diseño y la construcción de una desgranadora de maíz con capacidad de 500 kg/día, para el minifundio “LOS LIRIOS” del área rural de Pore Casanare. La máquina desgranadora reducirá el tiempo requerido para el proceso de desgrane, teniendo en cuenta que actualmente este se realiza en forma manual y/o también con arrendamiento de equipos de desgrane, incrementando costo de producción. Contará con un mecanismo de desgrane que retira o desprende los granos de la tusa, el cual es accionado por un motor eléctrico o térmico; un sistema de transmisión de potencia mecánica, una estructura que soporta los diferentes componentes, una tolva de alimentación, una criba que separa los granos de las tusas y los elementos de mando del motor.
