Con el propósito de obtener un mejor diagnóstico a este tipo de fallas, se llevó a cabo, pruebas de composición química en aleaciones metálicas, ensayos de micro dureza, pruebas de metalografía, pruebas de tensión a temperatura ambiente, pruebas de difracción de rayos; culminando con una interpretación de resultados para caracterizar los causantes de las fallas en la tubería. Las anteriores pruebas y ensayos estarán basados en la normatividad ASME E15, ASTM E384, ASTM A370, ASTM E415 y metalográfica E2.
