Summary:	This research is carried out in order to implement tools and strategies that seek to maximize the management of the purchasing area of the Suply Medical SAS pharmacy in the city of Santa Marta, Magdalena 2023 This research was qualitative and an analytical study was carried out that aims to develop a methodology to identify the shortcomings in the purchasing processes in the company. It was found that employees of the purchasing department delayed processing requests for medicines because of the lack of information they received from other areas of the company. Likewise, there is no direct supervision regarding the fulfillment of the processes by the head of the purchasing area, resulting in requests for up to more than two months without being attended because there is no follow-up.
