Las auditorías en seguridad vial son esenciales para identificar y evaluar los factores de riesgo que influyen en la infraestructura vial y en los usuarios de la vía. Constituyen un proceso metódico que abarca las fases de planificación, construcción y puesta en marcha de la vía, por lo que permiten anticipar posibles problemas y adoptar medidas preventivas y correctivas capaces de garantizar la seguridad de los actores viales.
