El propósito principal de esta investigación es formular proyecto que tenga un gran alcance, no solo por su arquitectura y sus prestaciones, sino, también por su importancia, impacto en la sociedad y su valor cultural, histórico y patrimonial en un entorno turístico. Por mucho tiempo, la cultura y el turismo han creado una sinergia que involucra múltiples factores como lo son la economía y la divulgación cultural, teniendo una relación directa con el desarrollo de una ciudad llegando al punto de convertir estas ciudades en atractivos turísticos durante mucho tiempo, teniendo como resultado, una riqueza histórica y patrimonial, por ello su economía puede depender en gran parte del turismo. San Agustín es un municipio que no solo comparte toda la riqueza cultural del departamento del Huila, sino también, un misticismo histórico que intriga cada rasgo de la herencia monolítica descubierta bajo sus suelos.
