Summary:	This research has the purpose of knowing the perception that the wayuú population has about psychological abuse in adolescents of the Itaka community located in the municipality of Albania-La Guajira, due to the lack of theoretical bases that exist on psychological abuse at the departmental level and more specifically in wayuú communities, this research was designed from a qualitative approach and ethnographic design through the use of instruments such as observation and semi-structured interviews that allowed data collection with a sample of 13 inhabitants, including traditional authorities, family members and adolescents.
