This project of the special management and protection plan is the result of a study carried out for the heritage property of the Streithost House, where the focus has been directed to protect and preserve the architectural heritage that represents the historical and cultural value of the city.

A lo largo de su historia, el patrimonio arquitectónico de Bucaramanga ha sido testigo de un proceso que ha llevado al declive de algunas edificaciones de la ciudad que simbolizaban el auge de épocas de bonanza económica. La ciudad ha sido testigo de un desarrollo significativo y el resultado de toda esa transformación se ve enmarcada en el patrimonio arquitectónico. Este proyecto del plan especial de manejo y protección es el resultado de un estudio realizado para el bien declarado de interés patrimonial la Casa Streithost, donde se ha dirigido la mirada para proteger y preservar el patrimonio arquitectónico que representa el valor histórico y cultural de la ciudad.
