El sector, zona de estudio, es el barrio Brisas de Vasconia, localizado en la comuna 8 de la ciudad de Ibagué, el cual se escoge debido a las deficiencias bioclimáticas de estas viviendas, las limitadas dimensiones (3,5 x 12,0 mt), las características poblacionales y el déficit psicosocial debido a sus limitaciones espaciales y económicas. El objetivo general es la aplicación de criterios sostenibles a la tipología de vivienda del barrio Brisas de Vasconia en la ciudad de Ibagué, para estudiar la viabilidad de la transformación y mejoramiento de condiciones de habitabilidad en tales edificaciones, a través de un estudio de los 3 criterios más importantes: eficiencia energética, eficiencia del agua y eficiencia de materiales.
