An analysis of variance, ANOVA test, and comparisons were applied to evaluate the
results. The poultry industry has expanded in recent years to meet the growing demand for
poultry products, so producers are seeking to improve the quality of meat and feed
conversion of birds to increase their performance and meet market demand.
The chickens were divided into different groups, each receiving a different dose of garlic in
their commercial concentrate. The length of the chickens' intestinal villi was measured, and
a morphometric evaluation was performed to determine changes in the structure and shape
of the villi. |

El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto de la suplementación de ajo en el alimento comercial en 128 pollos de la línea Ross 500 como una alternativa potencial a los promotores de crecimiento en pollos de engorde. El ajo contiene compuestos que favorecen la salud del animal y optimizan su sanidad. Para ello, los pollos fueron evaluados desde el primer día de edad, y se observó si había una mejor ganancia de peso y un incremento en las vellosidades intestinales tanto en longitud como en ancho. El ajo se adicionó al alimento comercial hasta los 42 días de producción, utilizando el sistema de azar desde el día 16 hasta el 42. Se aplicó un análisis de varianza, la prueba ANOVA y comparaciones para evaluar los resultados. La industria avícola se ha expandido en los últimos años para satisfacer la creciente demanda de productos avícolas, por lo que los productores buscan mejorar la calidad de la carne y la conversión alimenticia de las aves para aumentar su rendimiento y satisfacer la demanda del mercado. Los pollos fueron divididos en diferentes grupos, cada uno recibiendo una dosis diferente de ajo en su concentrado comercial. Se midió la longitud de las vellosidades intestinales de los pollos y se realizó una evaluación morfométrica para determinar los cambios en la estructura y forma de las vellosidades.
