Summary:	This degree work is carried out in the department of Guajira (Colombia), which seeks to recognize the Wayuu community as an ethnic population with housing needs that arise from a historical significance given since the sixteenth century; with the acceptance and understanding of the Wayuu culture general data of the departmental population and the ethnic presence of the same are analyzed, identifying the issues that most affect the territory defining the places where they have the greatest impact based on quantitative and qualitative methodology.
