For the learning of mathematics it is essential that students can nurture their curiosity and their ability to ask mathematical questions if there is a space where they can develop freely and their ideas are well received by their peers and educators. La investigación busca favorecer el aprendizaje a partir de la curiosidad natural que el estudiante trae al aula de clase. La curiosidad es un aspecto importante en el desarrollo cognitivo, sin embargo por varias razones, es un tema al que no se le presta la atención requerida como proceso de adquisición de conocimientos. Para el aprendizaje de las matemáticas es esencial que los estudiantes puedan nutrir su curiosidad y su capacidad de hacer preguntas matemáticas si existe un espacio donde se pueda desarrollar libremente y sus ideas sean bien recibidas por sus pares y educadores.
