The methodology in the present investigation was developed under the type of
bibliometric study, using as sources of information all the scientific articles published from 2012
to the present in relation to the topic of dental fluorosis, information compiled through the
Scopus database. Which provides a service through the internet of a database about bibliographic
references, and citations of periodical publications, where related results were achieved on the
analysis of bibliometric indicators obtained from the SCOPUS database for the topic of dental
fluorosis. , delimiting the search for research publications using the formula "teeth and fluoride"
during the last 10 years, obtaining as a result a total of 5,247 documents, thus reaching the
respective conclusions on the different scientific publications by year, by author, citations,
indexes, affiliations, and by country, highlighting the progress of this type of research in
countries such as China, Brazil and the United States, where it was shown that the authors have
certain preferences for scientific articles in order to publish their research |

La metodología en la presente investigación se desarrolló bajo el tipo de estudio bibliométrico , utilizando como fuentes de información todos los artículos científicos publicados desde el año 2012 hasta la actualidad con relación al tema de fluorosis dental, información recopilada por medio de la base de Scopus. El cual brinda un servicio a través de internet de una base de datos acerca de referencias bibliográficas, y citas de publicaciones periódicas, donde se alcanzaron resultados relacionados sobre el análisis de los indicadores bibliométricos obtenidos de la base de datos SCOPUS para el tema de fluorosis dental, delimitando la búsqueda de publicaciones investigativas mediante la fórmula “teeth and fluoride” durante los últimos 10 años, obteniendo como resultado un total de 5.247 documentos, llegando así a obtener las respectivas conclusiones sobre las diferentes publicaciones científicas por año, por autor, citas, índices, afiliaciones, y por país, destacando el avance de este tipo de investigaciones en países como China, Brasil y Estados Unidos, donde se evidenció que los autores tienen ciertas preferencias por los artículos científicos para poder publicar sus investigaciones.
