Al buscar información sobre los templos, se evidencia, que existen pocos documentos organizados, protegidos o conservados por las organizaciones religiosas tanto municipales como departamentales, existen datos, pero, no evidencias reales de los inicios de las construcciones, o de las problemáticas, que cada templo ha sufrido, el diagnóstico alude, a nivel general, al análisis que se realiza para determinar cualquier situación, para este caso en particular, casi toda la información de este análisis fue de hechos recogidos en diversas zonas distintas a los lugares donde se pretendía hallarlos, es decir que no existe mucha información en los templos o parroquias, así que para diagnosticar los parámetros que inciden en la problemática de conservación de la infraestructura actual de los templos de Aipe, Neiva y Villavieja, se trabajó en los municipios esencialmente a la población que día a día habita el lugar, es evidente que el paso del tiempo y la inclemencia del clima son los entes, que más afectan las construcciones, pero el hombre, también deteriora el patrimonio, no lo cuidan, porque la sociedad le da diferentes usos a los espacios y a las construcciones, son muchos los responsables del deterioro y el descuido de los templos, la comunidad religiosa, el estado, los moradores de cada municipio, se puede asegurar; que el descuido es participativo, es decir que es ocasionado por todos.
