For its scope, the research started from the following steps: the first was the selection of the sample of Pymes from the hotel sector of the city of Villavicencio whose innovation capacities were evaluated, the second, the application of the instrument was carried out to the survey of the information previously selected, the third, was the analysis of the results obtained in the course o f the application of the instrument in the sample of Pymes. The methodology used was the quantitative method since it revealed statistical data in some cases already studied, it should be noted that the tool used was the survey, applied to owners, managers administrative staff or receptionists of the thirtyand/or administrators, three hotels Mipymes of the city of Villavicencio Meta. It is there where it was possible to define that 55% of the hotels do fulfill a position responsible for leading the innovat ion actions in the company, also 60% of the hotels have defined an innovation strategy and 55% of the hotels have with adequate technology to support the creation of new products/goods/services.

El principal objetivo que tuvo esta inno investigación fue; Evaluar las capacidades de vación de una muestra de Pymes del sector hotelero de la ciudad de Villavicencio. Para su alcance, la investigación partió de los siguientes pasos: lo primero, fue la selección de la muestra de Pymes del sector hotelero de la ciudad de Villavicencio cuyas capacidades de innovación el levan fueron evaluadas, lo segundo, se llevó a cabo la aplicación del instrumento para tamiento de la información previamente seleccionada, lo tercero, fue el análisis de los resultados obtenidos en el transcurso de la aplicación del instrumento en la muestra de Pymes. La metodología utilizada fue el método cuantitativo ya que di ó a conocer datos estadísticos en algunos casos ya estudiados, cabe resaltar que la herramienta utilizada fue la encuesta, aplicada a propietarios, gerentes y/o administradores, personal administrativo o recepcionistas de los treinta y tres hoteles Mipymes de la ciuda d de Villavicencio Meta. Es allí donde se pudo definir que un 55% de los hoteles si cumplen con un cargo responsable de liderar las acciones de innovación definida una estrategia de en la empresa, también el 60% de los hoteles tienen innovación y un 55% de los hoteles cuenta con tecnología adecuada para apoyar la creación de nuevos productos/bienes/servicios.
