El manejo de residuos sólidos es un problema logístico y ambiental, que afecta mucho más a los lugares en los que no hay un servicio de recolección y/o tratamiento, como es el caso de la Vereda Cerro Rico de Buga (valle), la cual no cuenta con estos servicios.
