Para el proyecto de investigación se aplicó una investigación con enfoque mixto (cualitativo y cuantitativo). Por otra parte, se aplicaron diferentes herramientas de ingeniería ajustadas a las necesidades específicas de la empresa, que implicó una revisión del proceso actual en toda la gestión de inventarios de la empresa ALTIPAL SAS; Así como también, las políticas, los procesos de almacenamiento, y recursos disponibles. Con el fin de proponer unas estrategias conforme al comportamiento de la demanda que permitan el establecimiento y uso de información veraz para la toma de decisiones tanto a nivel administrativo como operativo, para el cumplimiento de las metas estratégicas de la empresa.
