La presente investigación aborda el fenómeno de la eutanasia desde la perspectiva fenomenológica de Merleau-Ponty sobre la construcción del cuerpo como parte de una perspectiva integral a partir de la experiencia desde el paciente, su familia y, principalmente, el profesional a cargo de ejecutar el acto técnico. El abordar la perspectiva de los médicos paliativistas como acompañantes en el proceso de la eutanasia resulta relevante no sólo porque existen una serie de pre concepciones que dificultan tanto el acceso al procedimiento como el proceso en sí tanto para el paciente como para sus familiares y cercanos.
