Summary: | In civil engineering, concrete slabs are used to provide flat surfaces; however,
the appearance of cracks, fissures and deformations in them, lead to a study to find out
their possible causes and thus offer structures with optical parameters for their use. In
Colombia, these designs are based on the NSR 10 Standard, which includes the most
efficient techniques and designs. However, it is currently a problem that is being
observed in construction designs.
In this research project an analysis of the thermal gradient in two types of
concrete slabs is carried out, the first one located in the municipality of Simijaca,
Cundinamarca and the second one in the city of Bogotá, corresponding to a solid slab
and a lightened slab respectively. For this purpose, photographs were taken with the
Flir thermographic camera to obtain temperatures in the field. These data were taken
during 27 days in the municipality of Simijaca and 20 days in the city of Bogota. In this
way, the data was analyzed by numerical modeling and supported by meteorological
stations such as IDEAM, CAR and NASA. Consequently, it ends with the comparison
of results that allow us to demonstrate the effects generated by the thermal gradient in
the plates and its implication in the processes of expansion and contraction of these |
