Summary:	Objective: To determine the prevalence of the need for palliative care in a population of patients with chronic disease care by an Institution that provides home health services. Methodology: It is a quantitative cross-sectional investigation. The study is carried out through an interview with treating professionals and the review of secondary sources (records of care) of all the people treated in the home care program during 2020 in the municipalities of the department of Valle del Cauca, where the Institutions that provide home health services.
