The study corresponded to a non-experimental design with a cross-sectional correlational scope, with a sample of 55 participants. Statistical analysis was performed using the statistical program SPSS using the Spearman's Rho coefficient since the data found were abnormal, the main results being a significant negative correlation between online games and academic performance. Therefore, it is concluded that in general terms, students are not under effects relevant to the exposure of technologies.

El propósito del presente estudio fue el análisis de los efectos de la ciberadicción y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de grado 11° de la Institución Educativa Divina Pastora del Distrito Especial, Turístico y Cultural de Riohacha, Para ello, se midieron los tipos de ciberadicción en relación con el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes referenciados. El estudio correspondió a un diseño no experimental de alcance correlacional, transversal, con una muestra de 53 participantes. El análisis estadístico se realizó mediante el programa estadístico SPSS utilizando el coeficiente Rho de Sperman ya que los datos encontrados fueron anormales, hallándose como principales resultados una correlación negativa significativa media entre juegos online y rendimiento académico. Por la tanto, se concluye que en términos generales los estudiantes no se encuentran bajo efectos relevantes a la exposición de las tecnologías.
